I’m torn. I really hate reggae but love anything that sounds miserable and makes me want to wear lots of black and take up heroin. French duo The Dreams have somehow found a middle ground between those two almost diametrically opposed points to produce a sound that’s not just reggae beats under cold-wave, it’s right in there with being trapped in a small black box with the sounds of summer and the sea piped in.
